Goals of the League:

LEARN/HAVE FUN/COMPETE:  STARS coaches will provide a positive and competitive environment through purposeful skills teaching and structured games.  Each week, there will be a primary focus/teaching point.  Athletes need both proper teaching and reps. This format will allow athletes to learn and work on their skills in a structured practice and scrimmage setting.

Weekly Emphasis Points (both offensive and defensive principles): Each week, STARS Coaches will introduce new teaching points that focus on both offensive and defensive elements of the game – TEACH/LEARN/EXECUTE!

Dates/Divisions: Thursdays (8/22, 8/29, 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26). Season consists of 6 games season over 6 weeks)

• League sessions will be held at Shafer Middle School (Gallatin, TN); depending on league size, other facilities may be added
• Grades: 4th-8th Grade Boys (2024-2025 school year)
• Divisions (Boys Only):
  • 4th/5th Grades
  • JV (6th/7th Grades)
  • Varsity (7th/8th Grades)
  • Session Times: 5:15 p.m., 6:25 p.m, 7:35 p.m. (tentative depending on # of registered players/teams)
• Season consists of 6 games/sessions (8/22 through 9/26)

Format (Session/Game Times and Rules):

• 70 Minutes per session 
• Each session will include 15 minutes of skills/drills/teaching of weekly focus point(s) followed by 48 minutes of game play
• Games to be played at 5:15 p.m., 6:25 p.m., 7:35 p.m., at Shafer Middle School (depending on league size, other facilities may be added)
• Two, 24-mins halves with a running clock

Teams:

• 7-9 players per team
• Individual registration only 
• Teams Formed/Coaches Assigned – Teams (players and assigned coaches) are “flexible” for the entire season (*Player moves could happen to make teams more fair/competitive environment)

Price:

• $139 (early bird) if registering 8/10 or earlier; $150 if registering 8/11 or later
