Why do you choose to coach youth basketball: The game of basketball teaches so many valuable life lessons. Student athletes can learn how to set goals, challenge themselves to achieve more than they ever thought possible, to overcome adversity, the value and benefits of teamwork, and so much more. The process of teaching and helping each player go from where they are to where they can be is such a rewarding experience. Basketball has taught me so many life lessons. Many of my best friendships were created through basketball and those connections remain strong even to this day. It is just a wonderful vehicle to help young people succeed in life.
